He said the temple of Urvashi is associated with Pujya Devi Sati in Hindu mythology and is considered one of the 108 shaktipeeths. He said that the temple is deeply linked to the spiritual practices of residents of the villages of Bamni and Pandakeshwar, who love it under their tradition. He demanded an action against Rautela and criticized the actor for claiming the property of the religious site. Uniyal said: “It is not his temple. Such declarations are unacceptable and the government should take strict measures against anyone who makes such complaints.”
The villagers of Bamni and Pandakeshwar also expressed their anger. Local resident Ramnarayan Bhandari said no one had the right to make personal allegations on a temple with a deep mythological and cultural importance. He said that the whole community was strongly opposed to Rutela’s remarks.
