Maruti Suzuki should export his next electric SUV, E-Vitara, to more than 100 countries from his Gujarat factory, which will prove to be an important step for the Indian automotive industry and the global company strategy. The announcement was made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the inauguration of the new production plant for electric vehicles in Maruti Suzuki in Gujarat. The total production capacity of this factory is 7,50,000 vehicles per year, spread over three lines. The third line, which was recently operational, has the capacity to manufacture electric and internal combustion engines (ICE).

In an interview with Ani, the managing director, executive director of Maruti Suzuki India, spoke of the vision of the company. He said that today was a great day. The Honorable Prime Minister himself inaugurated our production. This Gujarat factory has our production lines. Total capacity is 7.5 Lakh units. Our third production line has the capacity to manufacture electric vehicles as well as internal combustion engines. We will export E-Vitara to more than 100 countries. Europe and Japan will be our main markets. With the exception of Arctic and Antarctica, we will be present in all continents.
He also said that Latin America, South America, Africa, Europe, Japan, Australia and New Zealand are included in the markets where the company will provide this vehicle. E-vitara is under development on a dedicated electric vehicle platform and is equipped with advanced technical characteristics. Bharti said: “This is a high and very efficient product, which has a range of 500 km and is a dedicated electric vehicle platform. It is a very powerful product. I hope it will have good acceptance on the market.”

The third production line has a capacity of 2,50,000 units per year. Marututi Suzuki has already invested around 21,000 oxen -ramps at the Gujarat factory and plans to invest 3,100 roots of rupes to add the fourth production line. The factory should also create around 1,000,000 direct and indirect jobs of this factory. In addition to the manufacturing of cars, the subsidiary of the battery of Suzuki, TDSG lithium Ion Battery Gujarat Private Limited, has progressed in the location of battery production. The company has a 50% stake in this company, which supports India’s efforts towards the self-realization of electric mobility. Bharti also confirmed that Indian customers would not be left behind.
