The responsibility of the health and industry of Canada on these 2 women of Indian origin, PM Carney made a minister

Indian-Canadian Anita Anand and Delhi-born Kamal Kheda are included in the cabinet of Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney. Former central banker Mark Karney was sworn in as the new Prime Minister of Canada on Friday. Carney (59) has replaced Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who announced his resignation in January. Trudeau remained in power till the Liberal party was elected a new leader.
Anand (58) has been made the Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry, while 36 -year -old Kheda is the Health Minister. Kheda’s family, born in Delhi, moved to Canada when she was studying school. He later earned a Bachelor of Science degree from York University, Toronto.
The website of the Prime Minister of Canada mentions that Kheda was first elected as a Member of Parliament from Brampton West in 2015. It said, “Minister Kheda is one of the youngest women selected for Parliament. He is a registered nurse, community volunteer and political activist.”

Kheda said in a post on ‘X’, “As a nurse, my highest priority was to always be present to help my patients and this mentality I will also adopt every day in the role of Health Minister. I am very grateful for the trust expressed by Prime Minister Mark Carney.”
Before joining politics, he worked as a registered nurse at St. Joseph Health Center in Toronto.
Anand, who was at the forefront of the race to become the next Prime Minister in place of Trudeau, announced in January that she is withdrawing from this race.

Anand said in a post on ‘X’, “I am proud to take oath as the Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development in Mark Karney’s government.”
According to the Canadian Prime Minister’s website, Anand was first selected as a Member of Parliament for Okville in 2019 and earlier he served as the Chairman of the Treasury Board, National Defense Minister and Public Service and Procurement Minister.
It states that Anand has worked as a scholar, lawyer and researcher and has been a legal educationist.
