In a conversation with Local 18, Dr. Rajkumar (DUM) of the Rejuvenation Herbal Clinic located in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand says that the disease of fatty liver is no longer limited to alcohol drinkers.
Dr. Rajkumar explains that wrong eating habits and excessive intake of processed, fried and sweet foods are making this problem more serious. If you want to keep the liver healthy, then it is necessary to remove these dangerous things from your diet. Instead, consume whole grains, fresh fruits, green vegetables and sufficient amount of water. Regular exercise and timely food helps in improving liver health. Remember, the liver is the body’s filter. If this is spoiled, then poison is sure to fill the body. In such a situation, it is prudent to be cautious in time.
1. Sweet drinks (soda, energy drinks and packed juice)
Most people think that packed juice or energy drinks are healthy, but the truth is completely opposite. These drinks contain a lot of sugar and high fructose corn syrup. It accumulates fat in the liver rapidly, which increases the risk of fatty liver. If you are consuming such sweet drinks regularly, then understand that you are slowly deteriorating your liver, just as the liquor damages the liver.
