This car from Maruti Suzuki, more than 3 Rakur units sold in just two years, was burned on the market

Maruti Suzuki India, the largest automaker in the country, launched Maruti Suzuki Frontx in April 2023. The new SUV not only strengthened the company’s portfolio, but also became a trump card in terms of volume. The unprecedented popularity of Fronx can be measured by the fact that it sold over 300,000 units in just two years. Maruti sold 1,34,735 units of Frontx in 2024. Sales (YOY) rose 23.36% year-on-year to 1,66,216 units in fiscal 2023.

According to Maruti, the Fronx is the fastest car in India with sales of 1,00,000 units (10 months) and 2,00,000 units (17.3 months). Between Rs 7,52,000 and Rs 13,04,000 (ex-showroom), Maruti Suzuki Fronks competes with cars such as Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Kia Siros and Skoda Keelaka. On April 8th, its price will increase by 2,500 rupees.
Five variants of Frontx have been introduced to Sigma, Delta, Delta +, Zeta and Alpha. One is a 1.0-liter 3-cylinder turbo petrol booster jet engine, and the other is a 1.2-liter 4-cylinder. The 1.0 turbo petrol 3 cylinder produces 100 hp power and 147.6 nm peak torque. Talking about the second variant, it can produce 90 hp of power and 113 nm of peak torque. It is brought to the market using manual and automatic gearbox options. The external features of Fronx are 16-inch alloy wheels with LED multi-reflector headlamp, automatic headlamp, LED rear combination lamp, shark fin antenna and LED DRL.
Features include a new Fronx cabin interior, 9-inch HD Smart Play Pro + infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android auto connection, turn-by-turn navigation with head-up display, 360-degree view camera and wireless charger. The SUV has six airbags. Other security features include 3-point ELR seat belts, hill hold assist, rollover mitigation, ABD, and Isofix child seat mounts with EBD and brake assist. On the back of the car there is an engraved straight profile with an LED rear with a comprehensive sweep connection. Inside, the SUV cabin has a contrasting black and Bordeaux colour scheme and a metal-like matte finish on the dashboard.
