This couple’s wedding in Mexico City was a blend of couture, mariachi and Bollywood revelry

A girl from the island of heart, raised in the barbados soaked by the sun, Sanjana Sippy has always considered herself as a free spirit. It is a quality that has shaped her work as a fashion stylist and later as the founder of her label of sustainable vacation clothes, Isaavibes, and she carried in her marriage to Mexico in the investor of well-being, Samesh Sachar, a modern self-proclaimed nomad whose best life is not just a trend but a prosecution for life.

“We were presented by a common friend on Instagram,” explains Sippy. “I was not trying to go out with a day, but every Sunday, he would send me a” Happy Sunday Funday “me!” Message. “A year of digital hellos later, Sachar surprised him at Barbados. Although long distance for a large part of their relationship, the couple has always spent their summers together. One of these trips took them to the rugged coast of Portugal, where days were spent navigating, swimming in Azure waters and staying at the Hotel store in Christian Louboutin in Melides. What Sippy did not know is that Sachar planned to offer. On a serene-serene sand bench in C compuits, he installed a picnic brunch, poured from champagne and asked Sippy to marry it under a sky wet in sun.

For the couple, choosing the wedding in Mexico City was quite easy. Having already spent a vacation there, they felt its streets soaked in colors, its modernist architecture and its playful spirit reflect theirs. “Our marriage commission was to create an experience – a celebration of love and culture based on each other,” shares Sippy.

For their three-day wedding weekends, they wanted family and friends to plunge fully into the essence of Mexico. They launched the celebrations with an intimate Haldi ceremony where Sipipy wore a sari Shivan & Narresh in a daring and abstract impression that balanced tradition with a contemporary design, while Sachar chose a personalized Kurta of Just Men. The welcome dinner took place in a restaurant in the city under the theme of Tequila, tacos and tango, with a Mariachi group, Taco stands and a tequila tasting led by sommelier. For the occasion, the bride wore a dress with a personalized shoulder Ritika Mirchandani with a sari drape and a gold embroidery – “flirty and chic with just the good amount of drama”, as she describes.
