Describing the US Trump government a threatening government, Khamenei said that some threatening governments are insisting on negotiations. If they do not do this, then military action may be faced.
On this attitude of America, Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on Saturday, “Some threatened governments- I really know no words more suitable for some foreign personalities and leaders, emphasizing talks.”
Trump threatened military action for not negotiating
It may be notable that on Friday, Trump said that he has written a letter to the supreme leader of Iran, urging them to face possible military action on a new talks or refusal on the country’s nuclear program. On this statement of Trump, Iran’s Supreme Leader Khamenei said on Saturday that threatening forces aim to fulfill their own expectations.
Khamenei said without naming America or without referring to Trump’s letter, “They are establishing new expectations, which they feel that Iran will definitely not fulfill them.”
Foreign Minister has already raised the issue of maximum pressure
Earlier on Friday, Iran’s Foreign Minister Saeed Abbas Araghchi said that Iran will not negotiate its nuclear program, facing external pressure or restrictions. Araghchi said two-tuk Iran would not have a direct conversation with the US until Washington ends its maximum pressure sanctions.
