Tri Series: India defeated South Africa by 15 runs in an exciting match, Sneh Rana shocks 5 wickets

India vs South Africa: After Pratika Rawal’s half -century innings, spinner Sneh Rana took three wickets in the same over and took five wickets in the women’s ODI for the first time, which India registered a thrilling 15 -run win over South Africa on Tuesday in the women’s tri -series. Pratika continued her brilliant form and scored 78 runs off 91 balls, after the decision of captain Harmanpreet Kaur to bat first, scoring a competitive score of 276 runs for six wickets.

‘Player of the Match’ Rana took five wickets after this, causing South Africa’s team to be dismissed for 261 runs in 49.2 overs despite the 109 runs of the Tajmin Brites. South Africa lost their last five wickets for 21 runs, making India registered a second consecutive win in the tournament. Rana took five wickets for 43 runs in 10 overs. During this time, he took the attitude of the match towards India, taking three wickets for three runs in the 48th over of the innings.

South Africa pushed India to the backfoot in the beginning, chasing the challenging target in an aggressive manner. The Brites retired after scoring 108 off 105 balls due to the cramps facing cramps under the difficult conditions of the weather. He had pushed India on the backfoot by partnering 140 runs for the first wicket with captain Laura Volvard (43).

When it seemed that the South Africa team would easily win this match, then Indian spinners started trapping the batsmen in their spin. Deepti Sharma (one wicket for 40 runs) gave India the first success in the 28th over of the match by LBW. Soon after, Rana drove Laura Goodol (nine).

The Brites completed the third century of ODI career with two consecutive fours during this period. She, however, could not continue batting due to cramps in the humid weather and had to retire. Fast bowler Arundhati Reddy (one wicket for 59) did not take much time to show the pavilion wicketkeeper Karabo Messo (seven).

Young Left spinner Mr. Charani (one wicket for 51 runs) filled the Indian camp in the Indian camp by walking experienced Luce (28). Pratika scored fast with Mandhana with his aggressive innings during this period. He hit five fours and a six in his innings. Mandhana played the role of assistant in this partnership.

The partnership finally broke in the 19th over when Mandhana was caught by wicketkeeper Karbo Messo in the leg side by wicketkeeper Karbo Messo. Harleen Deol (29 runs off 47 balls) also played a good innings. Harleen and Pratika shared a 68 -run partnership for the second wicket. Mlaba bowled these two batsmen within two overs and gave South Africa a chance to return in the match.

Harmanpreet and Jemima, however, kept pressure on the bowlers while batting aggressively. Jemima contributed 41 runs in 32 balls in a 59 -run partnership in 58 balls of both. He hit four fours in his innings. Harmanpreet also hit four fours in an unbeaten innings of 48 balls. Richa Ghosh hit the 14 -ball innings with three fours and a six to bring the team to 245 runs in the 46th over.
