According to this, two sources confirmed that Musk had made several personal contacts with Trump on the weekend to try to convince him to reverse the April 2 tariff announcement. The assets of many billionaire friends of Trump themselves declined. It also includes Tesla and Spacex’s founder and X owner Musk. According to The Guardian report, his personal property has fallen below $ 300 billion for the first time since last year.

Even Musk has openly targeted Peter Navaro, a prominent colleague of Trump and business advisor of the White House. Peter Navarro is considered the brain behind the tariff strategy. Musk attacked Navaro’s master’s degree in Economics from Harvard University. Navaro called Musk a “car assembling” instead of the manufacturer because many electric vehicles (EV) parts of Tesla come from abroad. In response, Musk said in a post, “Navaro is really a fool. What he says here is clearly a lie.”
