Trump’s pressure or Jailonski’s compulsion: Ukraine’s President is reaching to compromise with America

The ongoing dispute between Ukraine President Volodimir Jailonsky and US President Donald Trump is likely to end. According to reports, Jailonsky can reach the White House on Friday, where he will have an important meeting with Trump. The aim of this meeting is being said to finalize an economic and security agreement with the US amidst the Russia-Ukraine War. However, there has been a debate in Ukraine about this possible agreement whether Jailonski is under pressure from Trump and is being discussed with his terms.
Ukraine is upset with Trump’s US First policy
American support has been very important for Ukraine, who has been fighting the war against Russia for three years. Ever since Trump came to power again, his “America First” policy has put Ukraine in trouble. Trump has repeatedly stated that Ukraine will not get free help and instead it will have to reach America to its rare mineral resources (rare meanings). These minerals are used in defense, energy and technical fields, and Trump considers them strategic resources to reduce dependence on China. Jailonski was not ready for this, although it is now discussed that Jailonsky has agreed to it.
Did Jailonski come under Trump’s pressure?
Jailonski initially rejected the condition that he cannot “sell his country.” He had declared any peace agreement unacceptable between the US and Russia without the consent of Ukraine. But now the situation seems to be changing. Sources have revealed that an initial economic agreement between the two countries has been prepared, including the reconstruction of Ukraine and American access to mineral resources. Jailonsky said on Wednesday, “We need a security guarantee from the US, but we are ready for widespread cooperation.”
Trump raging on Europe
Donald Trump also made strong comments about the European Union on Wednesday. He said that it was designed to compete with the United States. Trump, “See, honestly, the European Union was formed to clamp down on the United States.” Meanwhile, a UK government official said that Zelanski had ‘hope’ to reach Britain on Sunday to interact with the Prime Minister.
