Rajab Tayyab Erdogan is currently the President in Türkiye. Erdogan wants him to remain in power and for this he will have to change the Constitution of Türkiye. But to change the constitution, they may need the support of the DEM party in Parliament. Now the DEM party has long been pressurizing the widespread democracy in Türkiye, the rights of the country’s Kurdish population and the conditions of the imprisonment Oklan. DEM leaders have also held a meeting with Oklan by going to jail thrice.
What will be the effect on Türkiye, Syria and the entire middle East?
In 2013, when the peace agreement was reached between President Rajab Tayyab Erdogan’s government and PKK, it was welcomed with enthusiasm all over Türkiye. However, the ceasefire did not last long and the violence started again after two years. The biggest question now is that this call of Oklan will have how much impact the leaders of the Military Wing of PKK. If all the leaders of the party consider Oklan’s talk, then its effect can also be seen in Syria.
There is a conflict between the Kurdish Democratic Forces (SDF) in the Northeast Syria and the Turkish -backed groups in Syria. If the struggle between PKK and the Turkish government ends, then peace can also be seen here. If PK puts its arms, the SDF agreement with the Turkish -supported interim government in Syria will be easier.
