Barbie has launched a new doll to celebrate the achievements of tennis veteran Venus Williams on and off the court. Williams Barbie ($38) is available in metal stores starting Friday, August 15th, 2025.Part of Matal’s “Inspiring Women” series, the doll has re-registered the iconic look of Williams’ Wimbledon victory. The championship was the fifth title of her seven Grand Slam titles and a tournament, making her the first woman to win the same prize in a top-level competition.
The doll is worn in the same type of dress that Venus wore while he was Wimbledon champion in 2007. This was the same year that women first received equal prize money in a Grand Slam tournament. The retail price for this doll is said to be $38, and Venus is wearing a completely white dress. His neck becomes a green jewel necklace, a band of wrist hands and a tennis ball.
According to Parents.com, Christa Burjar, senior vice president of Barbie and global doll head of Matal, said in a press release, “Vegan Venus Williams, Barbie Tennis, proudly welcomes our Women’s Series of Inspiration.”
Williams says this honor has a deep personal meaning. “It’s very special to be respected as a Barbie inspiring woman. I hope this doll encourages young people to know their prices and pursue their goals with confidence and wholeheartedness.”
