Ghazipur. Diabetes is one of the rapidly increasing health problems in the country. According to doctors, if people improve their lifestyle then type 2 diabetes can be controlled. There are two main types of diabetes. Dr. Dhananjay Verma of Maharishi Vishwamitra Medical College (Ghazipur) explains some symptoms while explaining the difference between type 1 and type 2 diabetes.

Type 1: This is an autoimmune disease, in which the body’s immune system destroys the insulin-producing cells. It is mostly found in children and teenagers.

Type 2: This mainly occurs in people above 35 years of age. The reason for this is inactive lifestyle, obesity and unhealthy eating habits.

Dr. Dhananjay Verma explains that insulin is not required in the initial stages of type 2 diabetes. It can be controlled through oral therapy (pills), but if treatment is not done on time, insulin has to be taken. Regarding the symptoms of diabetes, he told that the amount of urine increases in it, which is called polyuria in scientific language. Dr. Verma says that to prevent and control diabetes, the most important thing is to adopt a healthy lifestyle. Avoid sitting in the office for long periods of time. Do physical activity for a few minutes every hour. Do not eat chow mein, burgers and other junk food from outside. All these can increase your blood sugar rapidly.

10 crore by 2045

According to Dr. Verma, the number of people suffering from diabetes in India may reach 10 crores by 2045. The main reasons for this are changing lifestyle, urbanization and unhealthy eating habits. Doctors and experts believe that small but effective changes can be made in the daily routine to avoid diabetes, such as exercising for 30 minutes every day, avoiding junk food and excess sugar, controlling weight and getting regular health checkups done.

Diabetes is not just a disease but a result of wrong lifestyle. Dr. Dhananjay Verma says that diabetes can be completely controlled by healthy eating and regular physical activities. Therefore, be aware and take care of your health.
