The World Bank was mediated in this treaty. The treaty was signed by Prime Minister of India Jawaharlal Nehru and Pakistan President Ayub Khan on 19 September 1960 in Karachi.
What will be the effect- Since the Indus Water Agreement in 1960, there has been tension in India and Pakistan about the Kashmir issue. All types of disagreements and disputes have been settled through the legal processes provided within the structure of the treaty. But now India’s patience is broken. Second decision- Attari border closed

Fifth decision- Pakistanis’ SAARC visa canceled
Pakistani citizens will not be allowed to travel to India under the SAARC Visa Rebate Scheme (SVES) visa. Any SVES visa issued to Pakistani citizens in the past will be considered canceled. Under the SVES visa, any Pakistani citizen currently present in India has 48 hours to leave India.
What will be the effect- This will now make it difficult for Pakistanis who want to come to India. They will no longer be able to get a visa.
