Experts of RP Center of AIIMS tell the importance of donation in eye donation Pakhwada
The cornea can be donated only after death and it is a very transparent process. When a person’s eye is taken by hospitals or I bank, it is processed and applied to the most qualified and accurate patient. So that people have lost their eyesight from corneal diseases, they can get their light back. They can see again. This is the reason that the Government of India is also promoting eye donation.
Dr. says that whatever person who resolves I donation, they should understand that they have helped the biggest help of humanity. There can be no more happiness than this. Many people feel that donating the eye after death will cause the face to be damaged or will not be able to see, then this confusion also needs to be removed. Whenever the cornea is taken, the whole eye is not extracted, but some layers in front of the eye are removed, or say that the eye is just removed, and when it is taken out, the eye remains the same as before, there is no difference.
