India’s Foreign Ministry (Mea) spokesman Randhir Jaiswal wrote on the social media platform X that once again remind the interim government of Bangladesh to fulfill his responsibility to protect all minorities including Hindus without making any excuse or discriminating.
Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal wrote, “We express grief over the kidnapping and brutal murder of Hindu minority leader Mr. Bhabesh Chandra Roy in Bangladesh. This murder shows a pattern of systematic harassment of Hindu minorities under the interim government. The criminals of the previous such incidents are roaming around. Create an excuse or discriminated, fulfill your responsibility to protect all minorities including Hindus.

According to news agency PTI, local media reports stated that 58-year-old Hindu community leader Bhabesh Chandra Roy was allegedly abducted and beaten to death from his house in Dinajpur district of North Bangladesh. The Daily Star quoted police and family members as saying that Bhabes Roy’s body was recovered on Thursday night. His wife Shantana said that he received a call at around 4:30 pm and claimed that the criminals had called to confirm his presence at home.
