WWDC25 airpods get camera control on the iPhone and iPad

Apple is preparing to advance its airpods wireless aircraft. According to a report, the company is working to add camera control, sleep detection, new head gestures and AI functionalities in Airpod. The overview of these new updates can be seen in WWDC 2025 on June 9, although certain features may be in 2026 or after deployments.

In addition, the report indicates that Apple works on a feature that will be able to control the iPhone and iPad camera via Airpods. For example, users can click on the photo by pressing the stem or changing the camera’s modes. This feature can go with real -time integration between the application of the camera and the iPhone airpods.

The report also indicates that there may be another intelligent characteristic of the sleep detection airpods. Thanks to this, AirPods will be able to detect the user’s gold condition and automatically install audio playback. It has also been said that this feature can also be linked to Apple Watch and Health applications so that the user’s sleep quality track is better.

Apple will also work on new gesture support in AirPods. These may include options such as head breeding by turning their heads to reduce volume. In addition to this, a new mode of studio quality vocal isolation is also tested, which will better reduce background noise during calls and recording.
